Mr. John Reynolds is president and founder of Integrated Architectures. He also serves as the Managing Director of the Agile Fractal Grid where he personally directs the orchestration activities for the company and is the chief architect for various vertical lines of business served by the national network. He is also one of the trustees for the national fiber and wireless infrastructure launched and operated by the Agile Fractal Grid.
Mr. Reynolds’ career started at IBM, where for several years he was involved in systems engineering and marketing of IBM offerings to the manufacturing and distribution industries. Later, as Vice President of Management Information Systems for Empire Bank of New York, he was responsible for implementing and operating strategic applications and communications systems that supported commercial banking business activities. At Honeywell Information Systems, Mr. Reynolds was responsible for the engineering and development areas of the global financial industry vertical sector. Later, as Director of Systems Management, he was responsible for end-to-end systems integration solutions for major opportunities at Honeywell.
At Integrated Architectures, Mr. Reynolds oversaw the deployment of major end-to-end systems for the telecommunications industry in North America. Most major carriers in the United States use complex systems designed by his team. Through a subsidiary, Stratum Broadband, Mr. Reynolds supported the IBM Emerging Business Opportunities team in many engagements implementing high performance broadband networks for states, cities, universities, and medical centers. As the fragility and security of the electric power grid began to be of concern, Mr. Reynolds worked with Intel to form the Security Fabric Alliance, a community of practice involving some 105 companies with a goal of developing open standards and solid deployments of embedded security solutions for critical infrastructure.
Later, working with the electric power industry itself and the National Rural Electric Cooperatives Association, Mr. Reynolds was instrumental in the creation of the Agile Fractal Grid Corporation where he now serves as its Managing Director. This company initially serves the electrical cooperatives that cover 75% of the land mass of the United States. The approach provides a supply chain of managed services needed to implement end-to-end deployments of operational, analytical, and financial systems needed to support decentralized grid operations arranged in concentric fractal arrangements. It supports the needs for external management of infrastructure, communications networks, supercomputing operations, and a digital marketplace for applications as a service for the power industry and many other broadband applications for smart cities in general. These other sectors include telecommunications, public sector, and Industrial Internet managed services.
Over the years, Mr. Reynolds has developed personal contacts with large numbers of telecommunications, power industry, emergency services, and financial industry executives. His business and technical expertise has given him a unique insight into the structural changes affecting modern business and its effective use of technology.
